Recent Favorites

Hello everyone! I don't use enough different products every month to have a "monthly favorites" however, I do have some products that I have been loving that I thought I would share! (In no particular order)

Benefit's "They're Real" mascara is probably one of my favorite mascaras I have ever had the pleasure of using! This mascara gives great length to my lashes and the very tip of the wand makes it a lot easier to coat the bottom lashes as well as the corners of the eye. This mascara also has excellent staying power and will last from morning until night. The only downside I can think of for this mascara is the price, it retails for $23.00, which is not exactly practical for someone on a budget, so a different mascara I would recommend from the drug store is Loreal's Voluminous Butterfly mascara! NYC's Smooth Skin Bronzer in 720A "Sunny" is one of the best bronzers from the drug store and is a stable in most makeup fanatics collections! This bronzer gives the best natural "sun kissed" effect and is great for most skin types! It does not come off orange, and is very affordable! The powder texture is smooth and feels great to put on your skin! 

 

Maybelline's new "Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser" is a clear gel formula that glides onto your skin so smoothly. This is a great primer for teenage skin. I don't think people over the age of 30 would get a lot of use out of this primer, but for younger skin it works great! It helps my foundation glide on smoother and blurs the look of my pores.

Revlon's Photoready concealer in 002 Light Pale is by far my favorite concealer. I mostly use this under my eyes to help with my dark circles, and it gives me a nice amount of coverage, and is very smooth and easy to apply for a stick concealer.

Elf's Small Stipple Brush is one of my new favorite items added to my brush collection. I have not had any fallout bristles and I mainly use it for blending in my concealer. The best part about this brush? It was only $3 at Target!

Urban Decay's Naked Palette, is a stable to my makeup collection and is always my go to for eye shadow. The formula for these eye shadows are velvety and have a great staying power especially with use of a primer. This palette has never let me down. 

My 4 favorite colors in the Naked palette are (from left to right) Creep, Half Baked, Virgin, and Darkhorse! 

I have been using Urban Decay's All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray since my senior year of high school and I will always repurchase this. This keeps my foundation lasting all day and helps me from looking "cakey". If you have been contemplating buying an Urban Decay setting spray, I would say go for it! You will not be disappointed!

Rimmel's Exaggerate Full Color Lip Liner in the color 064 Obsession is absolutely perfect for me. I love the angled tip for easy application onto my lips. It helps my lipstick stay on better and even looks great on it's own! It's very creamy and has never dried out my lips!

The lipstick that I usually pair with the Rimmel lip liner is Revlon's Super Lustrous Lipstick in the color 477 "Black Cherry". It's such a beautiful berry color and is my favorite lipstick from my collection recently! I'm usually not very adventurous when it comes to lip colors but for some reason this color makes me feel more confident and I feel great about wearing it!

Last but not least Maybelline's Elixer in 005 "Breathtaking Apricot" is my favorite lipgloss of the month! I'm not sure why the color is called "Breathtaking Apricot" because it is a vibrant pink color. This lipgloss has the perfect amount of a sticky texture so it stays on your lips but it does not bother you when you are wearing it. At first I was scared to put this on because of the vibrant pink, but when it is actually applied to the lips it leaves them a nice pink color that is very wearable!
